Respite Services
RESPITE is a DDA funded program that assists individuals with disabilities in all aspects of their while in a residential placement. It is a Short-term, temporary care provided to an individual in thei home or outside their home.
It is designed to give the primary caregicer(s) a break from their care giving duties.
Respite may be just a few hours or several days in length depending on the plans of the caregiver
Respite may be planned in advance or may be made available to assist in a crissis/emergency situation.
We provided services as

- Meal Preparation
- Obtaining resources in the community
- Taking Consumers to Medical Appointments
- Parenting Skills
- Getting Involved in leisure activities
- Aspects of living on their own

DROM’S RESPITE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
Personal Assistance Services;
Supports that enhance the individual’s opportunity for community participation and to exercise choice and control over the individual’s own life; Training and other services necessary to assist the individual in achieving and maintaining increased integration, interdependence, and productivity;
24-hour emergency assistance;

- Adaptive Equipment;
- Environmental Modification
